Exercise Program Abbreviations

A list likely to grow are the abbreviations we use for various exercises and the movement specifics that may or may not go with them.  Simply a reference list.

Common Abbreviations

  • CP – cable & pulley
  • BU – bottom up
  • RT –  right
  • LFT – left
  • BW – body weight
  • SL – single leg
  • SA – single arm
  • RDL – romainian dead lift
  • KB – kettle bell
  • DB – dumbbell
  • SB – stability ball
  • AFAP – as fast as possible
  • ALT – alternating
  • RVS – Reverse
  • LSD – long slow distance
  • CLUSTER – rep series with 15s breaks to make set
  • BSS – bulgarian split squat
