You likely didn’t realize that I now believe planning for bicep growth may be essential to a great sport performance enhancement program. Ha, you listening now??? 🙂
I just completed a blog post on our site for Fitness Professional’s that had to do with motivations of the teen athlete. While it’s geared primarily to the Fit Pro, you can feel free to check out the reasoning behind my new bicep for sport attitude.
The short version is my message to you high school guys who run into me up in the awesome Snohomish High School weight room… I can talk biceps.
While I continue to provide written program design weekly that will enhance athletic performance safely and most efficiently for the athlete, I’m more than happy to talk other things. Whether getting closer to your specific sport season and would like to add a bit more specificity to your program or simply have other goals or ambitions you want to talk about addressing… Bring it on.
I know there are other motivators than just the sport. I know you want the chest and biceps that will make heads turn… ha. Not that much different from when I was at SHS a couple years back.
It’s called “Hypertrophy Training” and I add protocols for that goal set in our sport training from time to time, but if are going to lift primarily for that reason no matter what my written program suggests… Let’s talk and make sure you are doing the best bicep workout we can come up with. 🙂
